About this speaker
Erin Kanno Uehara, is affectionately known in Hawai`i as “your chocolate friend.”
She is a local girl, born and raised in Hawai`i, with a bachelor’s degree in Education, a Masters degree in Business Administration, and a big dream to...NOT own a chocolate business! It was never her plan to open a chocolate shop. Her dream was to help make this world a better place by connecting with people and investing in relationships. It just so happens that her obedience to take steps of faith led her to find a long-lost family member who taught her how to make chocolates. And since 2012, she has been using her award-winning local chocolate business, Choco le`a, to live out a mission of “Bringing peace to our world, one chocolate at a time.”
Erin is always “running an Erin” as a wife, mother of a 8 year old daughter and a 6 year old son, small business owner, author, blogger, motivational speaker, active volunteer in her community and church and shares her tips on finding peace in Hawai`i through her blog: www.erinkannouehara.com.
Erin was recently awarded the Small Business Administration Business Person of the Year award for the City and County of Honolulu.
She is honored to be here today as she believes women entrepreneurs should use their platforms and work collectively together to “Bring peace to our world.”
