About this speaker
Michelle Jaime is a multi-faceted designer whose expertise spans across all phases of design, on a multitude of different projects. With her entrepreneurial spirit and deep passion for design, she co-founded The Vanguard Theory in 2010. Since then, she has grown the company to be an award-winning design firm with featured projects in numerous national publications such as New York Times, Vogue, Architectural Digest, and Dwell magazine.
As the principal and creative director, Michelle mentors her team to create custom furniture, lighting, and fabrics. She enjoys working closely with the local art community to curate each project herself.
This year, The Vanguard Theory launched The Wayfinder Waikiki, Pacific 19 in Kona, and Green Lady. The Royal Lahaina Resort is slated to open this summer and Ālia, a luxury condo in Kakaako, will open its doors in 2026.
A fun fact is that Michelle was a co-host for HGTV’s show “Aloha Builds” where she renovated 14 houses in Hawaii with her brothers David and Davin.
