About this speaker
Although not born and raised in Hawaii, Michelle Stofle has called Honolulu home for the past 31 years. Born in Illinois, at a very young age she moved to Hong Kong with her family where she spent most of her formative years educated in the British system and the American system at the Hong Kong International School and then graduated from Suffield Academy, a co-ed college preparatory and boarding school in Connecticut. After graduating with honors from Boston College with a double-major in Marketing and Communications, Michelle worked in television, fashion, film and music industries in New York, Paris, Hong Kong, Singapore, the Philippines.
During her professional career as a branding, marketing and advertising executive, Michelle has had the honor of working with such global brands as Oscar de la Renta, United Distillers, Tiffany & Co., LVMH, Harry Winston, and Ralph Lauren to name a few. Before joining the marketing and advertising team at Pacific Basin Communications/HONOLULU Magazine, Ms. Stofle spent 16 years on the management team, overseeing the strategic partnerships with Pacific Business News.
Along her journey, she developed a passion to empower young women to believe they can achieve. Michelle has assisted several non-profit organizations with some of their women’s initiatives – like the Salvation Army (Hong Kong), YWCA and New Hope Christian Fellowship with their brand and marketing messages.
Ms. Stofle is a firm believer of “to whom much is given, much is required”. In her volunteer role, she currently has the privilege of serving on the board of directors of Aloha United Way - Women United, Sales & Marketing Executives of Honolulu and a former board member of Hō’ola Nā Pua. Additionally, she devotes some of her free time, talent and resources to New Hope Christian Fellowship, the Salvation Army and the YWCA. Michelle loves to learn and grow, read, practice Tai Chi, speak Cantonese and French, retail therapy, travel and laugh a lot with her husband, Mark.
